"Thanks, Rebecca, for fine tuning Titus. I was surprised in how his uneven hoof trim was affecting his gait. It was amazing to see his gait change before our very own eyes. He literally went from a young trotting Tennesse Walker to a nice stepping pace. Incredible! I am anxious to work with him now to bring it into a nice 4 beat gait. You are the best! Thank you." ~Amy Meyer

"I own a very well-bred, well-trained "gaiting fool", Velvet. She was purchased in Kentucky as an 8 year old Rocky Mountain mare when I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery and using only my left arm. I am no stranger to gaited horses, and have owned many. She is a horse that every gaited person hopes to find: smart, solid, reliable, smooth 4 beat. Velvet came with very long feet, but in wonderful rock hard condition. I put her into shoes because I was one armed riding and could not put on a boot myself one handed. After going through nearly 2 years of shoeing here in NC, her feet went from perfect to totally unperfect, cracking way up high, chipping, throwing shoes within a couple of weeks, thrush, what was thought to be white line. Then there was her way of going: this mare was both a blue ribbon show mare and trail mare when I bought her. She was what I refer to as a "gaiting fool". Nothing I could do would get her to trot. Now, having raised and ridden many gaited breeds, I know how unusual this can be! Being a musician I understand cadence and timing, and I can both feel, and hear gaits when riding. As to her new way of going, she became so crooked she needed more than 6 inches less rein on the right in order for her to travel straight and she held her tail out to the left (as a saddle fitter I understand asymmetry). She also chomped on the bit horribly when riding. Several farriers later, within a year my gaiting fool was a trotting, tripping, C-shaped traveling uneven fool. Her previous owner couldn't believe it! I called Rebecca. She pulled her shoes, examined her way of going and how uneven she was. We put her in boots. I was riding her within six days. She's never had a shoe on since. She has what Rebecca refers to as "farrier's dream" feet. I have done six months of both sides lateral training and dressage and ground work with her, and slowly that six inches of rein is now even left to right. Velvet recovered totally, and is back to the "gaiting fool" I bought in Kentucky. And, her feet are beautiful... and I cannot get her to trot once again. Rebecca is an artisan with the horse's hoof...she sees balance, symmetry, and looks at the whole horse in movement. Great farrier!"

"We are amazed at how great Micah's hooves look. The walls are amazing, the frog is healthy, the sole looks wonderful. In the four years we've had Micah, we've never seen his feet look this good. Micah is turning better and even I can tell he's moving much more comfortably than before. It's really hard not to brag about what a big change you've made in his feet! So thank you so very much for getting our horse on such a healthy path in such a relatively short period of time. It's really comforting for me to know that my daughter's horse isn't suffering. After looking at your case studies on your website, Micah's problems don't seem very dire. However, in the past four years, I spent a lot of energy worrying about how chronic Micah's problems were. It just seemed to never resolve itself, which was frustrating."
